Computer Training Success

My husband works in a company where they constantly deny him any type of continuing education or training to update information. He is a computer scientist and is working with older software but also would like to know newer software. Is there a campus or school that teaches post graduates of college newer stuff, he’s afraid that if he stays with the company for too long he will become unemployable because they are not willing to give him further training on newer technology.
