Computer Training Success

i just got a pom a poo yes people he is a mutt. i have been trying to potty train him, i live in an upstairs apartment so is impossible for me to take him outside all the time. I have tried the keeping him in his kennel but every time i get him out and poops where i don’t have newspaper or a training pad. i am getting frustrated. like five min ago he was crying cause he had to go and i took him to the pad and he ran to my room and peed by my computer. all i wanted to do was ***** him but it says in books not to. by the way i just washed my carpet. What do i do? do you know of any training programs? I really don’t want to give up on him but patience is not my virtue.
