Computer Training Success

They will be tech schools, I am looking into massage therapy and computer software engineering - yeah they are not even close, but those are interesting to me. What questions should I ask the school? I am not worried about the funding, but I want it to be a recognized school, not just some training that I can’t say I am certified or have a degree in the end.
I will be going to a tech school, I am more interested in their training, if they help find jobs then I am worried about sports - why would sports be important? If I don’t need finacial aid should I worry about if the school accepts it ir not?
