Will getting my undergrad at UVA increase my chances of getting in to UVA law school?

March 11th, 2009

Would attending University of Virginia for my undergraduates degree (majoring in Computer Science most likely) increase my chance of getting accepted into University of Virginia for law school to get my J.D.? Is there anything else that I could do to increase my chances of getting a law degree from University of Virginia? What exactly is the pre-law program; is it an undergraduate’s degree or is it simply a training course for the exam? Thanks

Has anyone heard of New Horizons Computer Learning Center?

March 11th, 2009

I am looking to finish my Certifications for Microsoft and had heard of them as a source to go through for training and tests. Just looking for some credibility or feedback.

Is your computer programming you?

March 10th, 2009

Meaning your might be pecking away at your keyboard for responses you seek on the pretty colorful screen. As BF Skinner did with lab rats many years ago, you just might be behaving exactly like his lab rats. A very simple stimulus-response behavior. The rats were very, very predictable and could be train to behave i many different ways to get their miniscule reward, not necessarily food. Isn’t that what you are really doing? Do you really care or remember what your qustion or answer was a month ago?

Can you get at least a vague image of someone from their accumulated responses? Most important, have you ever felt like one of those lab rats and, again, have you unintentionally been trained by your desk computer?

Does anyone have the list to EV training on Pokemon Pearl?

March 9th, 2009

Alright, my friend told me about EV training and I kinda get it, now all I need is the list of all the Pokemon I’m supposed to battle and what could level up.

Can anyone give me the list?
I don’t have a computer at home and the school computer won’t let me on the good sites… SAVE ME!
And if you don’t know the answer then don’t answer, I don’t need stupid *** comments…

And don’t send me a link, I’m at school and it won’t let me go anywhere!

Art noob looking for training?

March 9th, 2009

I have a question reguarding to college that is teaching computer graphics but will they train someone who has no skill what so ever or do I need previous training? Since those studies are economically based do I have to have already learned most of it or can I pace myself as a regular school?

Lack of on the job training?

March 8th, 2009

arent you supposed to have a mentor or someone to shadow? im new and my boss lady said she had hoped by now i would be competent on working our computer system and that i should be more proactive in my own training. I haven’t gotten so much as a tour from this woman- its like she wants nothing to do with training me and has no one slated to work with me. Yet during my first 2 weeks she would correct me in front of everyone when i answered phone calls telling me i was wrong to say x,y,z…..even corrected my pronunciation in front of everyone! How can i be proactive in my training if i dont know what all i need to be trained on. she has regulars that know the job that she expected me to be competent on but she never directs them to let me take their place and get practice. im on 3 month probation since im new- i dont think she wants me here- should i look for a new job already?? ive been here 1 month

Any servers or bartenders use the POS computer system in their restaurant?

March 8th, 2009

Is is difficult to learn? Would an hour of training be enough if you are not half braindead?

Any information about the (P.O.S.T.) Peace Officer Standards Training?

March 8th, 2009

I’m 19 and I want to become a DEA or FBI agent. I am taking classes in Criminal Justice in college and I plan to major in Computer Science or double major in that as well as Criminal Justice. I have applied for the Police Cadet position in my city and I feel like I am doing a lot but also like I could be doing much more to gain experience and training. I have no idea about any details of the P.O.S.T. and the website doesn’t help. I am planning to go to a Law Enforcement Job Expo so I know I will get some input there. Anybody have any valuable information on what the P.O.S.T. is all about (age skills requirements, cost (If any), etc.) Also if you know of anything about any other Law Enforcement programs that would help me out too.
